SAN JOSE, CA—(Marketwired – Jul 28, 2014) – VIA Motors CEO John Weber will speak at the Plug In 2014 electric vehicle conference at the San Jose Convention Center, Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 3:30 PM.

The Plug In 2014 electric vehicle conference is organized by EPRI, the Electric Power Research Institute, a non–profit research organization that works with electric utilities and government agencies on electric industry research.

VIA Motors presented the world’s first extended range electric shuttle van at the Plug In 2014 electric vehicle conference at the San Jose Convention Center. The electrified van can save enough in fuel to pay for the vehicle in many hotel applications.

“VIA is committed to electrification of the top selling vehicles in America that benefit most from electrification. We are working closely with the Electric Power Research Institute and the U.S. Department of Energy in a program to deploy and monitor VIA's electrified pickup trucks and work vans in many of America's leading fleets. This program will play a key role in demonstrating the significant fuel savings and emissions reduction benefits of VIA's technology,” said Weber.

Also speaking at the conference from VIA Motors is Mark Burdge, Vice President of Sales. Burdge speaks on Wednesday, July 30 in Session 4A “On the Road: The Latest in Plug–In Vehicle Technology.”

VIA Motors will also present its new extended range electric shuttle van, ideal for airport and hotel shuttle applications, and will provide demonstration drives at the conference. To schedule a drive, go to demo drive request or contact Jeff Esfeld. The Plug In 2014 conference runs July 28–30, 2014.
